Choosing To Self-Care

Self-care is not selfish but is important for a healthy lifestyle. Take your mental health into your own hands by choosing you.

A little attention to yourself can go a long way. Sometimes we encounter stressful moments that can make us feel imbalanced. Learn to take care of yourself the way you take care of others.

Self-Care Tips


1. Unplug from the world. For 30 minutes to 1 hour, silence your phone, turn off your tv, and quiet your mind. Take time to release the stresses of the day.


2. Take a relaxing bath. Add salts or essential oils to relax your mind and body, light a candle, close your eyes, and play soft music to usher yourself into a relaxed state.


3. Make it a spa day. Treat yourself to a facial with your favorite face mask, use a body scrub to slough off bad vibes, or soak your feet for relaxation.


4. Drink some tea. This is one of my favorite pass times. A mug of chamomile tea will help reduce stress, help you fall asleep, or boost your immune system.


5. Go for a walk. Walking at least 30 minutes every day can help boost your immune system and mood.
